The Role

We’re looking for a Fractional CTO to work closely with our Founder to bridge the gap between visionary ideas and rock-solid execution. This role is all about translating ambitious client requirements into clearly scoped, technically sound plans that our senior developers can run with — confidently, accurately, and on budget.

You’ll be the key technical brain during our pre-sales and discovery phases, helping us:

  • Win more bids by providing clarity and confidence around how we’ll build what we promise
  • Avoid scope creep by defining and documenting exactly what’s in (and out) of scope
  • Guide decisions around infrastructure, architecture, and security
  • Ensure our low-code approach doesn’t compromise on quality, scalability, or robustness

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a natural systems thinker, a calm communicator, and someone who loves translating vision into real, buildable plans.

Who You Are

  • You’ve worked in or around B2B SaaS or productized services and understand the startup journey.
  • You’re comfortable advising on technical architecture, security, and scale — especially in low-code and hybrid code environments.
  • You know how to think like both a developer and a founder — prioritising pragmatism, speed, and outcomes.
  • You’re strong on process: you know how to structure specs, define scope, and protect against misaligned expectations.
  • You’re curious about AI’s role in development, and open to exploring how we can bake it into both delivery and internal tools.
  • You’re happy working async and independently — but you know when to jump on a Loom or call to clarify complex thinking.

Interview Process

  3. Document Submission (Bonus): As a bonus, we’d love to see examples of technical documentation or project plans you’ve crafted in the past. This will give us insight into your planning and communication skills.
  4. Detailed Interview: If you progress, you’ll have a one-hour in-depth interview to dive deeper into your technical expertise and how you can drive our projects forward.
  5. Offer & Discussion: Successful candidates will proceed to the offer stage, where we discuss terms and next steps.
